Natja is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist with an extensive list of yoga-related qualifications who teaches all age groups and all levels, with a special focus on people after cancer. With more than 11 years of experience, Natja’s holistic classes include breath work, chanting, warm-ups, vinyasa (flowing postures), body awareness in holding asana (postures), relaxation, meditation and smiling. Natja teaches her clients to nourish the mind-body connection, and in private sessions she also focuses ... on what the client is striving for. In her after cancer work, Natja aims for her yoga to help minimise the side effects from the treatment, and to enable them to feel happier as they work to regain some control of their life and feel better about themselves. Natja works with her regular clients to achieve positive changes in their bodies, and to generally improve their sense of wellbeing. Describing herself as a yoga addict, Natja transitioned to her career in yoga therapy after going through a cancer journey herself and re-evaluating her life. She feels yoga is the only thing that takes her into a better place within herself. Natja has also trained in yoga for children, children’s yoga therapy and special needs kids yoga; yoga for seniors; aerial yoga; lymphatic yoga; yoga teacher training; and yoga after breast cancer. She sometimes provides guidance for yoga teachers. She is constantly pursuing research and various courses in yoga, regularly updating her knowledge of yoga anatomy to guide you safely in your sessions. Regular mentoring by a leading yoga therapist helps her to advance and grow to be of even better service. What to expect We begin with a questionnaire to gather your details and ask questions about your reasons for the consultation as well as your life style. The first consultation is usually about 90 minutes. It includes a conversation about your answers and further questions which is followed by an assessment. Depending on your concerns, we identify methods and tools to help with your symptoms. Natja is specialised in working with clients after cancer but qualified to work with all other health concerns such as general tightness, anxiety, after surgery, mood fluctuations, sleeping problems, changing habits, improving eating habits and many more. Natja will then find the fitting yogic tools together with you and create a personalised practice for you to take home. The second consultation is around 60 minutes. You will talk about your experience, you might get asked further questions and make changes or extensions to your practice. Natja will teach you what is new or changed and provide you with a new practice plan. You continue your practice at home and return for a follow up consultation of about 60 minutes. You will talk together about benefits and how you experienced them and might make further changes or extensions to your practice.
