As an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, supervisor, facilitator, trainer and mindfulness practitioner, Tamika is passionate about facilitating healing and wellbeing through the teachings of present moment awareness and acceptance. Tamika has supported thousands of clients and group participants to gain more clarity, feel inspired by their life and gain a sense of calm and ease that comes from daily mindfulness and connection with the body. With two decades of experience, Tamika works with many people experiencing trauma. Whether they aren’t living the life they want, are taking on too much negativity and judgement from others, or are feeling lost and depressed, Tamika loves supporting people to approach life differently. Even when it feels like everything in your life is falling apart, Tamika knows from experience that you can turn it around and create a life that is better than you could have ever imagined. After going through her own divorce and a breakdown in her late 30s, Tamika felt completely lost. She was in therapy for her stress and was studying to become a naturopath, but something didn’t feel right. Tamika always believed that if you commit to something, you should see it through. Her therapist really challenged her thought processes, encouraging Tamika to ask herself what would be so bad about not finishing her degree. This one simple question created a massive shift for her and changed the entire trajectory of her life. She dropped all naturopathy modules and started to study psychotherapy, as she wanted to explore how she too could ask powerful questions to help others. Tamika provides one-on-one sessions for her clients and facilitates retreats to support fellow therapists to replenish themselves and care for their own needs. She is approved as a Victims Services Counsellor and is an Accredited Clinical Supervisor with PACFA. As an experienced supervisor and qualified trainer, she helps other therapists become trauma-informed. Tamika would love to support you on your healing path and inspire you on your journey to wellbeing, happiness, peace, authenticity and wholeness. Read more
