She was certified as an Anusara® yoga teacher in 2009, and now teaches alignment -based hatha yoga, meditation and pranayama. She offers classes that focus on both physical and attitudinal alignment, bringing a new theme and intention from daily life to each class and incorporating these into the asana practice. Her students report feeling a loving positive energy through her teachings, which they then take into other aspects of their lives. Christine loves that yoga asks students of all levels to contemplate the connection to all that is and what it means for them, as well as watching student’s self-awareness expanding. She offers a comprehensive six-month mentoring program for yoga instructors, usually online, in all aspects of yoga; and she teaches yoga philosophy and its history. Christine holds a post-graduate Diploma in Professional Art Studies; creating art is as much a key aspect of her life as yoga. Both, she says, are a beautiful and wondrous dance of creativity. Christine is located on the mid north coast of NSW where she runs regular workshops, immersions and retreats in the surrounding communities. Regardless of her over-three decades of teaching, Christine still considers herself a student and is always grateful to her teacher, Carlos Pomeda, whose wise, generous and compassionate teaching of yoga philosophy has illuminated her own teaching, stimulated her appetite for home study and practice, and given her the tools and direction to impart the wisdom of yoga to others.
