Jane is a Hatha yoga teacher who has been practicing yoga for 35 years and teaching for the past decade. With extensive training in a number of forms of yoga, Jane’s preference is tantric Hatha yoga, which she describes as simple yet strong, working with a specific breath and spinal intention for each class. Tantric Hatha yoga is as practical as it is profound. Using repetitive stretching and strengthening poses, Jane says the results are far more effective than moving quickly through a diverse range of postures. By making people pause, stop and listen to the energy they’re cultivating and collecting during a class, they remain focused and get the full physical and spiritual benefit, Jane says. After visiting an Ashram in India in her 20s, Jane began practicing yoga on a regular basis. It wasn’t until she reached the age of 50 that she decided to do her teacher training and now this ancient science has become the centre of her life path. She has devoted the last 10 years to study, including yin, embodied flow, teens yoga, myofascial release, anatomy and functional movement, Vinyasa and traditional Tantric Hatha, gathering her knowledge from the world’s best yogis. Jane believes yoga is as much of gift to herself as it is to others and sees herself as a “mature mama” who has faced the challenges of life with grace. She embodies the wise woman, holding much to share with young seekers. In addition to her classes at her Jindabyne studio, she offers yoga retreats at the nearby ski resort. Read more

Prana is that vital life force that animates all levels of our being. Prana enables our bodies to move and our minds to think. Hatha yoga focuses on cultivating, strengthening and channeling this Prana to enhance our physical health and mental wellbeing. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama), and meditation (Dyana), which all work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility. When the mind and emotions are scattered, the pranas can be thrown out of balance and such disturbances can sift into out physical tissues, creating an opening for disease. Yoga is a preventive tool. Through the practice your work is to awaken and master this energy, so you can experience all that life has to offer you. The tantric tools of pranayama, bandha and meditation techniques are sprinkled through the class. Single class - $22 Packages 5 classes $80 (6 hours and 15 min) 10 classes $150 (12 hours and 30 min) Read more
