About me

Caroline is a dedicated yoga practitioner and registered Yoga Therapist who specialises in supporting stressed and time-poor mothers.

She helps her clients transform their lives through providing them with practical tools and strategies through Yoga Therapy. Caroline works with women to change their daily mindset, question and deconstruct any pre-existing beliefs or narratives, and create beliefs that are accurate.

Caroline is a living example that it is never too late to start yoga, as she discovered ... it in her early 40s. Raised by a mother with undiagnosed PTSD, her crippling overwhelm and anxiety was Caroline’s “normal”. Life was not easy as she inherited many of her mother’s damaging habitual reactions to everyday life events, and experienced a dull and constant unhappiness.
One month into practising yoga, Caroline could feel that something was different. She was calmer, less prone to bouts of anger, and her mind was clearer. Over time, the changes became so profound that she decided to follow this passion and pursued formal training.

Caroline became a yoga teacher in 2015 and then studied Yoga Therapy with the Yoga Institute in Sydney (previously called Enlightened Events). She graduated in December 2019 and continued on with 50 hours of mentoring with Sal Flynn, becoming a registered Yoga Therapist in March 2020.

Since commencing practising Yoga Therapy, her very first weekly semi-private class of four students still continues today. Caroline also provides Yoga Therapy to the students of her program "From Overwhelmed to Grounded", a 6 month program to support mothers in overcoming overwhelm and anxiety with the tools of yoga.

Based in Sydney, Caroline supports her clients in person and online.

One on one Yoga Therapy - Introductory Package

Yoga Therapy is not about teaching you poses. It's about assessing your condition, and to provide you with a yoga practice that will evolve ... with you and your lifestyle. Most people coming to yoga therapy have not practiced much yoga, if any at all. They are looking to become empowered to take an active role in their self care, in a sustainable manner.

If you are brand new, it is wise to start with a package of 3 sessions: During our first session we discuss your concerns, lifestyle, health history, and set your goals. Based on the information gathered, I will design a practice specifically for you (your "homework") that will be sent by email in a printable pdf format. The practice takes into account your lifestyle and generally doesn't exceed ten minutes. This initial session can last between 60 to 75 minutes. It is very important to follow up within 2 weeks maximum from the first session to make any adjustment necessary.

During the follow up sessions we discuss the evolution of your symptoms, make changes or progress the practice. You learn to become responsible for your own well-being, and As a yoga therapist, I am here to support you in your self-care journey for the long term. Regular practice is key to success. Just like the doctor gives you a script, the yoga therapist gives you a practice with recommendations tailored to YOUR particular condition. Yoga therapy is not like western medicine: the benefits might take a while to manifest, but in the process you are empowered to take charge of your health and wellbeing in a supportive, non judgemental environment.
