Coreena is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner and qualified acupuncturist with more than 20 years of clinical expertise. An advocate of preventative health and food as medicine, Coreena has a special interest in pain management, anti-aging therapies, reproductive health, stress management, digestive health, mental health, post-operative rehabilitation, skin conditions and neurological disorders. She treats chronic issues such as headaches and back pain, providing a nurturing space for her clients where they can stop and be still as she focuses on the physical, mental and the spiritual. According to TCM, she says, all disease starts in the mind and you have to have a calm mind before the body calms down. With acupuncture, major changes happen after seven to eight treatments, with recent research saying results are dose-related, according to Coreena. Three treatments are always recommended in the first instance. A professional snowboarder in her early life, Coreena broke her back in a competition and found specialists could not help with the pain, leading her to get acupuncture. She still gets regular acupuncture for relief from her own chronic pain, which makes her particularly empathetic towards her clients dealing with similar issues. Coreena says that some days she feels like she is waving a magic wand over people as she witnesses their bodies healing. She loves the fact she is constantly learning and finding different ways to get the same positive results. Her extensive experience over two decades in health management, business and professional sports, alongside being a mother of two gives Coreena a unique perspective and a common-sense approach that appeals to people from all walks of life. Coreena is currently undertaking a Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine to further her knowledge and expertise in this area. Coreena provides a supportive environment where she works with you to design an effective treatment plan to achieve greater balance, health and joy in your life. She offers a range of acupuncture treatments including facial acupuncture and also provides dietetic advice based on TCM principles. Read more

Facial Gua Sha or Facial Cupping only (no needles)

Gua Sha dates back thousands of years as a timeless beauty therapy which has lasted through... Gua Sha dates back thousands of years as a timeless beauty therapy which has lasted through to current day. This treatment will take you back in time and is totally relaxing and nurturing. The ancient Chinese practitioners discovered that many meridians of blood and energy in the body either begin or end in the face, while others have internal branches that travel to the face, hence the connection with how our health influences our facial appearance. Crystal tools are used to perform facial acupressure, usually jade, rose quartz, bian stone or agate. These are either flat with smooth rounded edges or shaped like a wand. Facial cupping uses gentle suction with soft plastic cups, enhancing circulation and toning the facial muscles. No marks are left on the face with this technique as only light pressure is applied to the face in a slow repetitive scraping and lifting motion, contouring muscles and stimulating elasticity. The increased circulation of blood and energy rejuvenate the skin while simultaneously treating the underlying factors that contribute to the ageing process. Good for any puffiness and lymphatic drainage for toxins, fine lines, pigment and stagnation. Perfect for improving skin elasticity and circulation naturally without acupuncture needles. Read more
