About me

Avril is a holistic lifestyle consultant and wellbeing practitioner who has a passionate interest in women’s health.

Her teachings and programs are designed to support, inspire and empower women to live an authentic, healthy and happy life.

Avril has an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching with the Australian Yoga Academy and is completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with the Endeavour College of Natural Medicine. She has studied Vedic (Shakti) Mantra Meditation under ... the tutelage of Devi Ananda Vdovic in Zagreb, Croatia as well as a 12 month mentorship in Himalayan Kundalini Tantric Practices.

She specialises in working with women who are dissatisfied, burnt out or seeking clarity to assist in finding their purpose.. Her unique program ‘Become Y O U’ has been specifically designed to inspire women to embark on a journey of inner exploration, self-discovery, reflection and personal transformation. 

Being exposed to Eastern philosophies before migrating to Australia and continuing her studies here Avril found a love for practising yoga and meditation which has inspired her current offerings. Avril loves bridging these two; ancient philosophy with modern science in her teachings and practices.

Avril facilitates yoga workshops and classes across Melbourne as well as a weekly yoga class and a women’s circle for her local community. She has also designed and co-hosts a retreat in Sri Lanka for deeper healing.

Avril lives with her husband, two teenage daughters, their dog, Kodak and cat, Toffee.

Become Y O U - Holistic Lifestyle Consultation & Introductory Session

In this 2-hour Holistic Lifestyle Consultation & Introduction to Become Y O U, Avril will work with you to create a holistic (mind, body, ... spirit) mind map to gain a broad understanding of current physical, social and emotional challenges in your life. Applying a framework from a natural medicine (nutrition) scientific perspective and applying yogic principles to understand Y O U.

She will introduce you to the core concepts of ‘Become Y O U’ and its offerings as well as the practices of yoga as a tool for health, wellbeing and personal transformation.

This is a one-on-one consultation.

You will receive a follow-up 60-minute consultation to discuss the findings of this initial consultation and then be given the option to book into or continue to work Avril and her offerings including her 8-week Become Y O U program which includes weekly, 2- hour sessions which run over an 8 week period.

An overview of the full 8-week Become Y O U program is as follows:

Y O U are the instrument of this study. The program is the method - the Yogic path to the Self. Here you gain the knowledge and the skills needed for self-awareness and self-transformation.

You also learn how to create your own daily routine and practice and begin to see and experience the benefits of these in your daily life.

In this program, you will be introduced to the teachings and practices of yoga (asana), pranayama (breathwork), Tantric Kundalini Kriya, mantra meditation, Ayurveda, nutrition as well as spiritual and holistic concepts and practices for creating wellbeing in your life.

You learn through the felt experience and self-reflection from these practices as well as the philosophy and knowledge of these sacred teachings. This is a journey of self-discovery and a worthwhile investment in your happiness.

This program is loosely based on the book ‘The Four Faces of Women’ by Caroline Ward.

The introductory session runs for two hours in-person in Melbourne or online.
