I have been practising as a relationship counsellor for the past 19 years, in which time I have focused on individual, couples, family, family and domestic violence, and most recently coronial counselling. Since 2021 I have channeled my energies into trauma-informed counselling, completing 400hrs on-line study with Dr Gabor Maté in Compassionate Inquiry over the last three years. This psychotherapeutic approach recognises that the primary source of suffering is our disconnection from the deepest parts of ourselves, often caused by childhood and intergenerational trauma. With the right attention, this connection can be restored. I am passionate about supporting communities and individuals who grapple with minority stress - LGBTIQA+, neurodivergent, those living with mental health diagnoses, and Indigenous folk.
