About me

Karen is a yoga teacher whose holistic approach to teaching incorporates breath awareness and mindful movement to bring more energy, balance and harmony into your life. She will guide you through your yoga practice to build physical strength and flexibility, as well as strengthening your inner compass, giving you the tools to live a calming, balanced, and holistic life. With more than 600 hours of yoga teacher training attained in Australia and India, Karen has clients in New Zealand, South America ... and the USA. Initially, her interest in yoga practice began with pursuing strength and flexibility for fitness, and in helping her lower back and sciatica issues. However as she pursued more yoga study, it was the yogic philosophy that Karen connected with. She had experienced prolonged stress and anxiety from a young age that eventually led to autoimmune disease, adrenal fatigue, and borderline Hashimoto. Karen began managing these issues by adopting lifestyle changes including yoga, mindfulness and meditation. Karen believes there is always hope for every one of us, no matter where your physical and mental health stands. She says the key is to get the root of our suffering, to gain insight as to why we behave and think a certain way, then to discover ways to heal. Karen is amazed by everything she has discovered in her life and loves to share her knowledge with those who are on journeys to improve their health, wellbeing, physical and emotional states. She believes yoga and mindfulness are invaluable tools to steer you through modern-day life and help you develop and grow.
