Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive modality that seeks to locate and treat restrictions throughout the body. Restrictions within the craniosacral system can lead to tension patterns and affect the functioning of all bodily systems, leading to a variety of painful and disruptive symptoms. Through various assessment tools, Joshua can globally assess your body and craniosacral system and find the “primary” restrictions or “root causes” of issues. Craniosacral therapy may be beneficial for a wide variety of issues, including: headache and migraine chronic back and neck pain general musculoskeletal pain tinnitus temporomandibular joint (TMJ) eyesight issues central nervous system disorders fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome stress-related issues emotional trauma After a series of treatments, many people notice reduced pain, better overall health, improved immunity, improved sleep, more energy and improved body awareness. During a session, the client is encouraged to participate by bringing their awareness to the sensations in their body. As the client’s awareness heightens, they are able to notice the presence of tensions and deeply held restrictions. When the nervous system becomes aware of tension patterns, release and change begin. This change is often felt as warmth, pulsation, release, relaxation and/or deeper breathing.
