Andy’s reiki practice is based on the traditional Japanese teachings of reiki and since October 2011, Andy has given more than 1,650 reiki treatments from his room in Surry Hills, Sydney. Andy has studied the three traditional Western levels of reiki, and the three traditional Japanese levels of reiki, okuden, shoden and shinipiden. Andy was introduced to reiki by his brother, a teacher and practitioner for many years, and developed his practice after meeting the world-renowned and much-loved reiki teacher Frans Stiene. Born in Vancouver, Canada, Andy’s background is Chinese. He also has Australian citizenship and has lived in Sydney now for well over a third of his life. Andy also works as a freelance editor, and he enjoys the balance between his two professions. He feels being able to give a treatment or two a day provides him a break from his other activity - for Andy, reiki doesn’t feel like ‘work’ but rather a service that he can offer to others, where he gets to enjoy the healing quiet, and at the same time allow his clients to feel better. If you have any questions, Andy invites you to reach out and ask. Otherwise, Andy hopes to see you sometime soon for a treatment! Read more
