Mind

What does a healthy mind look like to you?

Our mind is the processing centre of our body, one of the most powerful organs and arguably the driving force of our wellness. You’ve heard of the phrase ‘mind over matter’, and the placebo effect is a prime example of this. Research has found that when people believe they’ve been given a healing treatment, the mind and body can connect to produce positive results for anything from pain management to stress-related insomnia

Conventional medicine is only starting to consider the use of power of the mind to treat symptoms. However, this mind-body connection is something that forms the cornerstone of many traditional and complementary therapies, where a healthy mind sets a foundation for wellness and creates the ability to engage with things that are meaningful to us.

At SoulAdvisor, a healthy mind to us looks like:

Potential. We believe the mind has the ability to change our reality – in shifting our state of mind, we can create new feelings and ways of being. We’re not saying it’s about ignoring your feelings or any physical/emotional pain, but acknowledging them and working with them in a way that will nurture you.

Our mindset affects every single part of our life and it can change them for the better. If you think this sounds far-fetched – consider this study by Stanford University which showed that our mindset can not only ease pain and shape our health, but also make us more intelligent and help us feel like we belong.

Knowing all the scientific evidence is all well and good, but perhaps one of the most important keys to mental wellness is the belief that you can have a healthy mind and that you deserve to be nourished – let us support you in this.

What to expect...

In this section on Mind you can expect to see honest stories, advice and thought-leadership on topics such as:

We hope these facets of Mind resonate with you. A healthy mind promotes a healthy life, and we’d love for everyone to experience this. So if you have stories to share or there are aspects of a healthy mind you would like to hear about that would be of assistance, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re searching for more on any of the above topics or for extra support on your wellness journey, the articles in our Therapy section provide information about the evidence-based benefits of relevant traditional and complementary therapies – simply click on the ‘Mind’ category, or search by symptom.

When you’re ready to take the next step, book a free discovery call with the therapist of your choice and let us help you on this journey to a healthy mind.
