Occupational Therapy with Erin Garde

These sessions are designed to help build your skills, capacity and daily function as a result of a debilitating injury or illness, or a progressive condition, that is impacting your quality of life. Occupational therapy can assist in relieving symptoms related to: - decision-making - depression - fatigue - mental health - movement - multiple sclerosis - self-esteem - sleep Issues - pain management - support. Your input and participation is key to the whole process. During the session, Erin will conduct an individualised assessment during which you share your goals and the things that can make your life more meaningful. Erin may visit you in your home, community and/or work setting to understand how you carry out your daily activities which might include showering, toileting, dressing, shopping, cooking and cleaning. Erin will then create a customised plan to assist with your overall wellbeing, with specific and measurable steps to help you reach those goals. Practical strategies might include making changes to your home environment or introducing equipment, such as a Healy Device, to help you maintain, regain or support your level of function. As occupational therapy takes a holistic approach, Erin can also work with any other health professionals such as GPs, physiotherapists, or a care team to provide you with coordinated care. Some of Erin's services may be eligible to claim under an NDIS plan. Contact Erin for more details.
