Phillipa Challis OAM is known as “The Laughter Lady” and is a professional speaker, MC and leading practitioner in the Laughter Yoga industry. Laughter unites everyone and Phillipa is passionate about spreading the ‘happidemic’. She loves making people laugh, helping to bring out their inner child and putting a smile on their dial. For over 18 years, Phillipa has introduced the power of laughter to industry, corporate and business clients around Australia and internationally. Her popular ... keynote presentations, training programs and workshops delight audiences and boost employee engagement and attendance, productivity and profits. She has worked with a broad range of people and has undertaken sessions one-on-one through to a sporting audience of 16,000! As Founder and Life Member of Laughter Clubs Victoria Inc and Leader of Laughter Club Geelong, Phillipa has loved bringing the benefits of laughter to her local community since 2002. Laughter is the glue that holds people together and it has given her great joy to help thousands of people be healthier and happier. Following many years as a successful businesswoman in Geelong in her own communications and PR business, she brings her extensive experience working across the corporate and retail sectors to her workplace training programs and education in schools. Laughter is always a key component with topics including ‘Your #1 asset is you’, ‘KISS and TELL your way to success’ and ‘Success has you’. Phillipa has been invited to contribute to a number of books and publications and loves being an MC for corporate events, weddings and special occasions. As a member of numerous groups and most notably the global service organisation Zonta International, she was thrilled to be acknowledged in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours. Phillipa confesses to being on the other side of 60 and after losing her husband in 2016 and becoming a uterine cancer survivor in 2017, she is passionate about connecting with other women, particularly those who are living independently, so as to bring laughter to their lives, and build supportive communities.
