Why do I need insurance?
As a business owner and operator, current insurance in your field is essential.
As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, as a practitioner you are not an employee, agent, or independent contractor of SoulAdvisor Pty Ltd. Therefore, SoulAdvisor does not accept any liability for any injury, death, loss, or damage caused by the advice or treatment you provide as a practitioner.
Insurance protects you as a practitioner, and your clients which is good business practice. As outlined in the Terms and Conditions, you also acknowledge and agree it is your responsibility to make your own investigations and receive professional advice on the insurance you require.
We ask that you ensure your insurance is relevant and kept current.
As part of the onboarding process, we do request evidence of your current insurance and it is recommended at all times a current certificate of currency is uploaded onto your profile. You will be notified as the date for renewal is approaching, and if we do not hold a current insurance policy before it expires, your profile will publically display that no insurance is verified until it is received.
Although insurance is not a non-negotiable to be on the platform, we highly recommend you hold insurance for your own and your client's protection.
