How does the Booking and Reservation Request system work?

For practitioners who use our booking platform
Practitioners who use our booking platform receive the benefit of SoulAdvisor’s booking platform functionality including payment gateway (Stripe), integrated Zoom link for online bookings, automated booking reminders, two-way calendar syncing to manage availability, reschedule option, chat feature, and our cancellation policy.
Please note that we use a third-party provider to process the payments, so an additional Stripe processing fee is applied on a confirmed booking.
After the booking has been completed (1-1's and classes), Stripe will release the payment to the practitioner, less the applicable commission and stripe processing fee.
For all other service types, the practitioner will receive a Reservation Request through the SoulAdvisor platform from a potential client and will need to organise a booking time and direct payment with them.
Within a reasonable timeframe, one of the SoulAdvisor team will then be in contact to ensure the Reservation Request results in a paid and completed booking. If so, we will issue an invoice to the practitioner based on our flat commission rate of 8% for all service types (other than 1-1's) such as workshops and packages.
For practitioners who do not use our booking platform
Some practitioners do not wish to connect to SoulAdvisor’s booking platform. This may be due to their booking system not being compatible with our platform (eg. Cliniko) or perhaps wanting:
- to offer HICAPS to clients on the day of the service;
- flexibility to vary working hours without updating an electronic calendar; or
- the ability to determine what, when, or how they charge their clients.
These practitioners will receive a Reservation Request through the SoulAdvisor platform from a potential client and will need to organise a booking time and direct payment with them.
