He treats complaints such as headaches, general sprains and strains, repetitive strain injuries, whiplash-related problems, pregnancy-related back and joint issues, postural and tendon issues, with most of these related to work, hobbies or lifestyle influences. Edward’s goal is to restore optimum biomechanics and functionality for his patients to alleviate their symptoms. He believes that continued movement and specific, sustained exercise are the keys to achieving the best results. Applying his skills and understanding of human biomechanics, Edward has been able to help his patients reach their greatest potential outcomes. He finds great reward in simply making people feel better, especially when he sees their mood changing. In a first consultation, Edward will ask some general questions about the complaint and get a full medical and lifestyle history, followed by a thorough musculoskeletal examination. Treatment may include massage, gentle articulation, muscle energy technique (a form of active stretching), HVLA manipulation, counterstain (an indirect, functional myofascial release technique), dry needling, taping if required and a specific tailored exercise strategy to assist with speeding up your recovery and addressing your symptoms. Edward loves sport and played semi-professional soccer for more than a decade, and enjoys treating athletes of all abilities and disciplines.
