About me

With a passion for positive psychology, mindfulness, creative arts and imaginative involvement, Simonette believes that each person is an original work of art and our collective diverse stories are what shape us.

Simonette is a registered psychologist who holds a Bachelor or Arts - double major psychology; Master of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Sydney, a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis from the Australian Society of Hypnosis and is trained in trauma-informed E.M.D.R., mindfulness & ... compassion meditation.
She has three decades of experience working across organisations, Government agencies and her own practice.

She is passionate about cultivating compassion with others and connecting people to their “Ikigai” - their reason for getting out of bed in the morning.
Throughout her career, Simonette has always been a big believer that “what we learn from life we can teach, and what we receive from life we can also give”. After struggling with her own anxieties and addictions, she was drawn to studying psychology and hypnotherapy in support of her belief that we get well by helping others.

Simonette provides individual consultations in-studio in the Blue Mountains as well as online. She designs and delivers contemporary workplace training services, has designed a range of e-learning programs focused on mindfulness and compassion, and loves bringing people together in nature on her creative arts retreats.

She is currently building an online community of compassion and care circles with a particular focus on assisting health and allied health professionals to run their own online wellbeing support groups. Simonette also runs regular guided meditations on Insight Timer and her website and has extensive experience delivering mental health and mindfulness programs to front line responders and health professionals.
