What booking option should I choose?
To assist our practitioners to manage their bookings and provide our clients a seamless experience, SoulAdvisor offers two types of booking confirmation options: "Instant Booking" and "Request Booking"
As a practitioner, you will elect your prefered option as part of your set-up.
As a client, these options are displayed as part of the service offerings on the practitioner profile, as either an "Instant book" or "Request to book" button.
How these two different options operate are outlined below:
The practitioner will receive bookings based on their SoulAdvisor calendar availability. Once a client chooses an available time, the booking is confirmed and an automatic confirmation email will be sent to both the client and practitioner with appointment details.
As a practitioner, you can also set an advance notice in your profile. Please note, there is no default advance notice.
This allows the ability for the practitioner to proactively manage their availability, and reduces the risk of double bookings when there is more than one booking method being used.
Advance notice is set as a default of two hours as a minimum however, you can elect a higher value than the default value ( ie. more than two hours) if you would prefer.
Unlike the "Instant Booking" option, a request is not a confirmed booking until the practitioner agrees, and confirms their availability.
Confirmation of a booking request needs to be actioned within 24 hours by the practitioner and if not given, the system will automatically decline the request and no payment processed.
If the booking request has sent by the client less than 24 hours before the preferred appointment time, then it will be declined automatically one hour before the requested appointment was intended to commence.
If a booking is not confirmed, no payment will be processed and the client will receive a full refund. The client can also cancel the booking request at any time, at no cost, before the practitioner confirms availability.
Once an appointment has been confirmed, a booking has been agreed between both parties and payment is processed. Payments to the practitioners nominated bank account will be per Stripe's normal turnaround.
Reschedules & Cancellations
We appreciate there will be times a confirmed appointment may need to change, be it a cancellation or a reschedule.
- Cancelling an appointment may be subject to cancellation fees, depending on the time the cancellation was initiated.
- Rescheduling ensures there is no unnecessary fees and charges applied to the booking, and you have the ability to reschedule two times (either the practioner or client). A reschedule request will need to be actioned within 48 hours before an appointment.
